Peaceful Restaurant

Last weekend, J wanted to take me to Shalin Noodle House for their famous hand-made noodle soup. I got excited because I've heard good reviews about this place and I love noodle soup especially on a cold winter day. When we got there, we saw a huge line up and didn't want to wait. J suggested we try Peaceful Restaurant instead. It's also a hand-made noodle place just a few stores down.

The place was just as busy but the wait wasn't as long. We ordered the beef noodle soup and chicken noodle soup. We had the option of choosing between the broad and thin hand-made noodles. We chose broad for our beef noodle and thin for our chicken noodle soup so we can try both :)

I loved the beef noodle soup. The noodles were chewy, soup was very tasty (with a hint of sweetness) and beef very tender. It's definitely one of the better ones I've had in Vancouver.

The chicken noodle soup on the other hand was a bit bland. It's not something I would order again.

Overall, I was satisfied with the service and food and will definitely go back. I want to try the other dimsum and noodle dishes they have.  Diners, DriveIns and Dives's Guy Fieri is also featuring this restaurant in his show so expect longer lines in the future! :)
